On behalf of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 9/11 first responders from the Fire Department of New York, (FDNY), will travel across America to visit every Carpet One Floor & Home store in the continental United States.
Tunnel to Towers and volunteers from the FDNY are making this journey as a thank you to Carpet One members for your dedication to the Building for America’s Bravest program. On June 9th FDNY Firefighter Jack Carter presented Hanover Floors with a shadowbox containing a piece of 9/11 steel from Ground. It is such an honor to be a part of this incredible organization...
Hanover Floors is proud supporter of Operation FINALLY HOME.
They provide custom-built, mortgage free homes to America’s Heroes
and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed so much to defend our
freedoms and our way of life. They bring together corporate sponsors,
builder associations, builders, developers, individual contributors, and
volunteers to help these Heroes and their families transition to the home
front by addressing one of their most pressing needs a home to call their own.
On May 21st 2015 U.S. air Force staff sergeant and Iraq War veteran Laura Sellinger was handed the keys to her new mortgage free home after the ceremonious ribbon cutting in-front of the cheering crowd of fellow veterans, supporters, friends, family and community members. "I don't have the words to tell everyone how grateful and proud and humbled we are< to be a part of the and I cannot think that this home was specifically built for us. It's a standing testament to what the American people really are, of coming together and supporting one another." Singer told the crowd as she stood in-front of her beautiful new home.
America’s Bravest selflessly risk it all. And when some are catastrophically injured, the home they come back to often doesn’t feel much like home anymore. That’s why Carpet One Floor & Home® is proud to partner with Building for America’s Bravest™ to provide custom-designed smart homes that allow these returning heroes to live more independently, improving the quality of their daily lives. We are committed to installing flooring in all the smart homes scheduled to be built through 2016.
In September of 2014 the Hanover Floors team joined the The Gramitica Family Foundation at their annual charity kickball tournament benefitting our veterans. The Gramatica Foundation works tirelessly, side-by-side with its business partners, sponsors and volunteers, to provide mortgage free, energy efficient housing to disabled military veterans. Profits from this inaugural kickball tournament go a long way to furthering the Foundation’s mission to help wounded veterans injured protecting our freedom. We were proud to be a part of this spectacular day.
